Step into a storybook Christmas with a three day adventure through the enchanting Occitanie region of France.
Begin with a scenic drive from Karma Château de Samary to Rivesaltes for a long, indulgent lunch and wine tasting at Domaine de Rombeau, before witnessing The Awakening of Lanterns in Le Barcarès in the evening – a glowing wonderland of light, culture and festive magic.
Wander the medieval streets of UNESCO heritage listed La Cité de Carcassonne, exploring twinkling Christmas markets and soak up the spirit of Toulouse with a guided private tour, ice skating, Christmas lights and mulled wine.
A celebration of warmth, culture and winter wonder – this is Christmas in true French style.
ITINERARY
DAY 1 FRIDAY 19 DECEMBER 2025
- Breakfast at your leisure
- 10:45 AM – Early check-in (or arrival the day before) and departure from Château de Samary
- 12:30 PM – Lunch at Restaurant Les Illustres, a typical Toulouse brasserie
- 3:00 PM – Guided tour of Toulouse: Capitole, Basilica of Saint-Sernin, Place du Salin, Quai de la Daurade
- 5:00 PM – Explore the Toulouse Christmas Market
- 8:00 PM – Return to Château de Samary
DAY 2 SATURDAY 20 DECEMBER 2025
- 9:45 AM – Departure from Karma Château de Samary
- 11:30 AM – Arrival at the Domaine de Rombeau and local wine tasting
- 12:45 PM – Lunch at the Domaine de Rombeau
- 3:00 PM – Visit the 2025 XXL Christmas Village in Le Barcarès
- 6:30 PM – The Awakening of the Lanterns: silk dragons, immersive tunnels, and traditional Chinese shows
- 9:00 PM – Return to Château de Samary
DAY 3 SUNDAY 21 DECEMBER 2025
- Breakfast at your leisure
- 11:45 AM – Departure from Karma Château de Samary
- 12:30 PM – Lunch at Hôtel de la Cité – La Barbacane, in the medieval city of Carcassonne
- 3:00 PM – Guided tour of the City of Carcassonne (UNESCO World Heritage)
- 5:00 PM – Visit the Christmas Market: ice rink, gift stands, shows, and illuminated parades
- 8:30 PM – Return to Château de Samary
